The mission of the Richmond chapter is to be the leading professional business organization promoting intellectual and economic development strategies through a powerful network of corporate leaders, business professionals, entrepreneurs, and bright students within the Richmond community who share the common commitment to professional advancement.

Join us to hear what the Richmond chapter is up and to find out about upcoming events.  In addition, you will have a chance to hear another dynamic speaker.  This is your opportunity to network and to meet other members in the chapter.  This meeting is free and is open to the public so please bring a friend. 
Text Box: We are looking for help with this year's LOT program.  The NBMBAA LOT Program aims to provide mentors and resources to marginally academic performing high school students who have leadership potential but need additional guidance and motivation in order to make good choices about college, their career, and their future.  Targeted students include inner-city high school youth with a grade point average between C- and C+ who have demonstrated leadership potential.  The Richmond LOT program consists of the Case Competition Program and Entrepreneurial Program.  If you have any ideas about how we can ensure the success of our LOT program or want to lend your time, please contact us at lot@ricbmbaa.org.

Text Box:  Steve has been in Richmond for 18 years and is presently employed for Henrico Area Mental Health as a Prevention Specialist.  His role is to develop and implement substance abuse prevention and delinquency prevention programs for youth.  He has an undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in Social

Text Box: Steve Hixon is currently serving as the Corporate Relation chair of the Richmond NBMBAA after being a member for only 1 month.  He moved to Richmond from North Carolina as a young adult looking for better employment opportunities and for more supported initiatives to impact Black communities.
